Staircase voltammetry of surface redox reactions is characterizcd by a "quasireversible maximum". The relationship between peak currents and scan rates is not linear, except for totally irreversible reactions, and the response may entirely vanish if the reaction is fast and rWKrSiblK.

For surface redox rections. the cquivalence of staircase and linear swecp voltammetries can not he obtained by the variation of the currcnt sampling fraction.
