The relaxation to equilibrium of a spin chain in a random magnetic field H is investigated; periodic, patchwise and purely random distributions are studied. To close the set of kinetic equations, the Bragg-Williams approximation (BWA) and a triplet closure approximation (TCA) are applied, and stati

โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
A oneโdimensional cloud model with a variable radius has been developed. The model is capable of being tuned to give internal cloud properties (such as liquid water content) that are in reasonable agreement with field observations. Unlike many other oneโdimensional cloud models, the cloud base rises only slowly over the lifetime of the cloud. The model is compared with two other types of oneโdimensional model: a steadyโstate model and an Eulerian timeโdependent model.
