We simulate the flow of a pre-mixed, reactive, incompressible, viscous fluid, using a combination of vortex methods and a flame propagation algorithm based on Huyghens' principle . The combustion part of the problem is modeled by a variation of the SLIC algorithm, which involves the use of a flame dictionary . The combined algorithms are tested on a cold flat plate with different free stream velocities ; the results show the effects of cold boundaries and turbulence on the burning process .

One of the main applications of fractional derivative is in the modeling of intermediate physical processes. In this work, the methodology of fractional calculus is used to model the intermediate process between advection and dispersion as an initial-boundary-value problem for a partial differential
A new and efficient numerical method has been developed to calculate time dependent, multidimensional flames. This method adapts the grid in an intelligent or solution dependent fashion so that the physics and chemistry of the flow are properly resolved. The method has the greatest advantages for th
The steady propagation of a premixed laminar flame in circular tubes with adiabatic wall and isothermal wall is numerically investigated in the present study. It is assumed that the flow is axisymmetric and the flame chemistry is modeled by an one-step overall reaction which simulates the reaction o
