## Abstract A novel temperatureโ€independent strain sensor based on a fiber Bragg grating is demonstrated. The front section of the fiber Bragg grating is fixed to a crystal plate, and the other section is linearly etched in HF acid. The reflected power of the grating varies linearly with strain and
