โฆ Synopsis
The polyaddition of dichlorodiphenylsilane (CPS) and phenyldichlorophosphate (PDCP) with bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BPGE) using tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) as a catalyst proceeded under mild conditions to afford the copolymer containing both silicon and phosphorus atoms in the polymer main chain. The copolymer with relatively high molecular weight was obtained by the reaction with BPGE and PDCP in the presence of 5 mol% of TBAB in toluene at 60ยฐC for 24 h followed by the reaction with CPS at 60ยฐC for 24 h. The composition ratio of copolymers was responded to the feed ratio of CPS and PDCP. Furthermore, it was proved that the polyaddition of various dichlorosilanes and dichlorophosphates with BPGE using TBAB proceeded smoothly to give the corresponding copolymers.
