Abstract
Determination of crossโcoupled filters order and transmission zeroes is the foundation of advanced filters designs. This article presents a novel and effective method to determine them in terms of general Chebyshev filters extreme characteristics and given specifications. All of combinations of them can be obtained and positions of transmission zeroes can be optional. It makes up the casualness of selecting them and is more convenient for practical filters designs. Three application examples illustrate the procedure and the validity of this method. ยฉ 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract This paper proposes a novel microstrip fourโpole lowpass filter with compact size and excellent frequency property. Two transmission zeros are introduced in its stopband. The first transmission zero is produced nearby the passband and makes a sharp rate of attenuation. The second transm
