However, treatment of (7) with the Pdcatalyst at -10°C for 2 h followed by low temperature column chromatography on silica gel (deactivated with 6 % water) at -40°C with a 1:lO mixture of diethyl ether and light petroleum provides pure (8). The structure assignment for (8) was based on its 'H-NMR data.
