โฆ Synopsis
The square of the ratao of the abraded bending strength, ed, to the unabraded bending strength, a, is proposed as a measure of the resistance to crack propagation in ceramm materials. Data for various porcelains, glass-c, eramacs, and glasses showed that era ts essentmlly mnstant and that (er~/cr) 2 decreased rapidly with increase of the tmabraded strength.
