Objective: The present study tested a dual-process family model in understanding the relationships among dysfunctional family relationships, family preoccupation with weight and appearance, and body-and self-esteem problems in the development of eating and psychiatric symptoms. β¦ Synopsis
This paper reports the results of a study which re-examines Chenhall and Brownell (Accounting, Organizations and Society, pp. 225-233, 1988) . In that study, it was hypothesized that role ambiguity acted as an intervening variable in the association between budgetary participation and outcome criteria . Although the results were supportive of the hypotheses, a number of limitations may be observed. This paper incorporates variations in sampling and finds results, which provide strong support for Chenhall and Brownell's hypotheses when tested using a structural equation modeling (SEM) technique .

A model selection scheme was extended to a multi-dimensional representation of the hot torsion test torque, twist and twist rate data to calculate partial derivatives of the torque data with respect to twist and twist rate. These enabled calculation of the instantaneous strain and strain rate harden
Warr's (1987) Vitamin Model was investigated in a representative sample of 1437 Dutch health care workers (i.e. nurses and nurses' aides). According to this model, it was hypothesized that three job characteristics (i.e. job demands, job autonomy, and workplace social support) are curvilinearly r
## Abstract The goal of Consumer Psychology is to use manipulations and measures in order to make inferences as to the psychological processes that underlie consumer behavior. A statistical tool available to do so is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Recent issues of this journal have provided pr
