✦ Synopsis

Sideways heat equation and wavelets" [l], written by Begin&a, is one of the earliest important literatures about solving ill-posed problem by wavelet regularization. But, there exists a defect in its main conclusion. The aim of this paper is to modify it and to provide a complete proof, from which a new interesting constant e* is introduced.

Starting from the Boltzmann equation in the proper frame, the relativistic version of the Boltzmann equation in the absence of collisions is derived. As an application, a simple example of a velocity modulated drifting relativistic electron beam in the presence of a velocity distribution is treated.
