A "nite element (FE) implementation for sandwich shell through-thickness homogenization is presented. The homogenization is performed within the analysis constitutive procedure and is suitable for the FE analysis of sandwich shells using explicit time-integration scheme.

β¦ Synopsis
The purpose of this note is to present the view that, for periodic and maybe more general (quasi-periodic, random) homogenization, it is natural to see the limiting problem as a viscosity solution of a nonlinear equation in nondivergence form, even in the case of nonlinear divergence equations. A recent, complete book on homogenization is [7].

## Abstract The problem of defining an average diffusion coefficient of a gas arises in the application of the film resistance model for mass transfer to systems involving multicomponent mixtures of simultaneously diffusing gases and in the application of mass, momentum, and heat transfer analogies
