Abstract

Films obtained by removing the water from colloidal suspensions of bentonite clays were first studied by E. A. Hauser.^1^ It has been claimed^2^ that such films, particularly after a further “ waterproofing “ treatment, are suitable for use as condenser dielectrics and insulation, replacing mica. This note briefly gives the results of an investigation into their electrical and other properties.
