✦ Synopsis

This paper gives two new definitions of complexity. The new definitions are used to analyze the time series based on mutual information of schizophrenics' and normal persons' EEGs.

Through a number of experiments, we found that the result of patients is inverse to that of normal persons, while not only extending the contexts of complexity, but also making it possible to provide a convenient way to diagnose schizophrenics. So this method will greatly influence the diagnosis about schizophrenics and the research of complexity.
