In the triclinic form of the title compound, [Cu(C 2 N 3 )(C 10 H 8 N 2 ) 2 ]ClO 4 , the Cu II center is coordinated by five N atoms in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry, which is different from that observed earlier in an orthorhombic polymorph of the same compound.
