✦ Synopsis
For the first time, the microporous tin(IV ) sulfide TMA-SnS-1 was synthesized at room temperature in quasi nonaqueous systems. The particle size is about 200 nm. The unit-cell parameters of TMA-SnS-1 obtained at room temperature are larger than those of the material obtained at high temperature in both aqueous and quasi nonaqueous media. The signal appearing at -345 ppm with respect to Sn(CH 3
) 4 in the solid-state 119Sn magic-angle spinning (MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrum is assigned to the pentacoordinated tin(IV ) atoms in the material. 13C cross-polarization/MAS NMR, thermogravimetric-differential thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectroscopies were used to further characterize the material obtained at room temperature.
