A new stereoselective approach for the synthesis of N-benzyl amino(hydroxymethyl)cyclopentitols by using stereoselective allylation on lactamine and RCM from D-ribose has been described and the glycosidase inhibitory activities of these amino cyclopentitols have been studied.
