β¦ Synopsis
A new species of Hylophorbus is described from two mid-elevation localities (1100 m and 1830 m above sea level) on the Huon Peninsula, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. The new species can be distinguished from all known Hylophorbus by a combination of its moderately large adult size and its distinctive single-note advertisement calls.
