Abatmet-A new solution of an eccentric crack off the center line of a rectangular sheet for mode-III is reported in this paper. The solution is different from X.S. punp's under general cases since the latter is based ou the assumption of symmetry. Actually the assumption implies that the crack is located on the center line of a rectangular sheet. The method proposed in this paper combines the Fourier transform and hvo Fourier series. The stress intansity factor of the central crack located off the center line of a m&angular sheet is exprwed as the Fredholm integral equation of the mnd kind. The uniform loading case is considered in detail for a practhl example. Numerical ~tions am performed for various sheet lotion and the test&a ~~~afo~~afi~.
