The longitudinal momentum distributions of 34 neutron-rich isotopes of elements produced by fragmentation of a 76 Ge beam at 132 MeV/u with 13 r Z r 27 were scanned using a novel experimental approach where a variety of targets with different thicknesses was used with the fragment separator at const
