Primary and secondary alkyl free radicals in the gas phase were shown to be trapped more efficiently by poly[N-( pvinylbenzylidene)-tert-butylamine N-oxide] and its copolymers in comparison with ''monomeric'' PBN. Polymer-incorporated nitrone was shown to be useful in trapping free radicals in the gas phase.
