✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A new metabolite with p ‐terphenyl core, named sarcodan (1), together with three known p ‐terphenyl metabolites (3, 4, 5) represented as Fig. 1, was isolated from the fruiting bodies of the basidiomycete Sarcodon laevigatum . The structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical methods. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
