It is well known that the shock waves formed during flow of high speed gas over thin slender body resembles to the gravity waves propagated in shallow water on the free surface moving with supercritical velocity. In experimental investigations on hydraulic analogy, the flow visualisation technique has for long been playing a very helpful role to study transonic as well as supersonic flows both for the compressible and incompressible fluids and has received wide acceptance Werl6 1973 and.
