✦ Synopsis

This paper presents a new numerical technique for simulation of the motion of point vortices. The approach is based on splitting the equations of motion into the coupled pairs of equations that describe the interaction between two vortices. The procedure presented here allows the singularity of the point vortex method to be reduced and to improve its accuracy. This method is tested by calculating the collapse of three point vortices.
