## Abstract The method of finite coupled elementary lines (FCEL) is used in the analysis of a microstrip disk antenna with a larger parasitic director. A closed form expression of the effective radius for the used structure is proposed. The obtained numerical results are compared with published mea

β¦ Synopsis
This paper focuses on the development of a new method for the conception of a Butler matrix to produce a broadside beam using 90Β°hybrids only. The method used to design an N Ο« N Butler matrix with a broadside beam is described. Moreover, we conceive, simulate, and realize a three-beam antenna in order to validate this new method. The design and measured results of the antenna fabricated on RT/Duroid6002 substrate over the Ku-band are presented.
