We show that the simple matroid PG n -1 q \PG k -1 q , for n ≥ 4 and 1 ≤ k ≤ n -2, is characterized by a variety of numerical and polynomial invariants. In particular, any matroid that has the same Tutte polynomial as PG n -

✦ Synopsis
In this paper we show that any dual of the family S of planes defined by Yoshiara [6] also satisfies the same conditions. We present a new family Y (O) of extended generalized quadrangles of order (q + 1, q -1) constructed from the dual of the Yoshiara construction S(O) [6] and show that each such extended generalized quadrangle is an extension of the dual of the Tits quadrangle T * 2 (O), where O is a hyperoval whose o-polynomial is a monomial.

In this paper we investigate the global asymptotic stability of the recursive , n s 0, 1, . . . , where ␣, , ␥ G 0. We show that the unique positive equilibrium point of the equation is a global attractor with a basin that depends on the conditions posed on the coefficients.
In this work, the electronic structure and disorder effects in copper halides alloys are studied by means of the full potential linearized augmented plane wave (FLAPW) method. The calculated bowing parameter shows that the main contribution is due to the relaxation effects, though the charge transfe
For every integer m ≥ 3 and every integer c, let r m c be the least integer, if it exists, such that for every 2-coloring of the set 1 2 r m c there exists a monochromatic solution to the equation The values of r m c were previously known for all values of m and all nonnegative values of c. In this
