✦ Synopsis

A new equation for bilayer adsorption from binary liquid mixtures on homogeneous surfaces is derived in terms of the statistical thermodynamics. This equation predicts all types of the adsorption excesses observed experimentally and gives a good representation for many experimental adsorption data available from the literature. A linear form of this equation is useful for evaluating the surface phase capacity from the experimental adsorption data.
