✦ Synopsis

Ahatraet-The fracture mechanics of piexoelectric solids is studied. A new electric boundary condition is proposed, in which the electric permeability of air in a crack gap is considered. An exact solution to this problem is given and some numerical results are obtained. It is found that the electric permeability of air in a crack gap leads to a value of K,, less than that of an impermeable crack.

## Abstract This paper presents a single‐factor model to describe the fluctuation of the electricity futures price for its trading risk management. An autoregressive moving‐average model [ARMA (2,1) process] was used to express the stochastic process of the price, instead of a conventionally used M

An optimization method based on a genetic algorithm (GA) and a boundary element method is applied to solve an electrical impedance tomography problem. The scheme is applied to reconstruct highly irregular shapes and to image and count objects inside a host medium of different impedance. A Pareto mul
