A new heterocyclic compound, l,ll-(etheno)-5H,7H-dibenzo[b,g][l,5]dithiocin (1) has been prepared by treatment of mono-sulfonium salt of l,ll-(methanothiomethano)-5H,7Hdibenzo[b,g][l,5]dithiocin with t-BuOK in a one step; the reactivities and the transannular pa -(>S+-S+<) interaction in 1 are described.
