## Abstract An automatic injection system for the analysis of gas phase smoke has been designed and evaluated using the microprocessor‐controlled Hewlett‐Packard 5830 gas chromatograph. The cryogenic preconcentration trap was constructed from relatively inexpensive and readily available materials.
