✦ Synopsis


A new cubic perovskite La4+xBal.xCu5012+8 (LBCO) with a --3.87]k has been stabilized by laser deposition in the form of thin film on MgO (001) and LaAIO3 (001) single crystals as substrate. A metallic behavior of the LBCO film is observed with a conductivity of 104 (~cm) -1 at 77K. The multilayer structure (YBCO/LBCO/YBCO) deposited on MgO or LaA103 exhibits a ~ axis orientation with Tc (R = 0) --87K or 90K respectively. The superconducting properties of both YBCO layers of the structure have been checked by SQUID measurements.
