✦ Synopsis

A new coordination compound 1 derived from 1,4-bis(nitronyl nitroxide)benzene and copper(II)hexafluoroacetylacetonate [Cu(hfac) 2 ] was prepared and characterized. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 1 /n with a=13.134(3) A , , b= 12.040(2) A , , c=17.520(4) A , , i= 104.02(3)°, V= 2688.0(10) A , 3 , Z= 2. Its magnetic property was investigated with ESR and SQUID and the magnetic data were qualitatively analyzed in combination with its crystal structure.
