Dear Colleagues, 2011 was another successful year for our Journal "Fuel Cells -From Fundamentals to Systems". The published articles reached an unprecedented number, the citation index experienced also a new high and the 2010 Impact Factor, which was published in June 2011, reached an all time high of 3.320.

This development corroborated the impact and the success of integrating topical and special issues or themed clusters besides regular articles. Last year's success was made possible by our authors, who submitted high quality articles; our review editors, who conducted the review process and, last but not least, the reviewers, who were a great help in assessing the quality of the submitted scientific work. Therefore, the Editorial Office would like to say a big "Thank You" to all those who helped "Fuel Cells -From Fundamentals to Systems" to achieve its high ranking
