## Abstract In this paper, a robust low‐cost 4×4 microstrip antenna array is designed to be used in wireless communications systems working between 3.4 and 3.6 GHz. A foam substrate, together with a set of parasitic patches in two geometrical configurations, has been used to enhance its bandwidth.

## Abstract In this letter, two active integrated antenna (AIA) circuits employing an H‐shaped patch antenna operating at 2.45 GHz are presented. In the first design a probe feed position on the antenna is found to give an input impedance of 50 Ω at the fundamental frequency. For the second design
## Abstract This article proposes a new approach to obtaining a dual‐band inverted‐F antenna (IFA) with a novel metamaterial unit cell providing a negative index of refraction. The dual‐resonance characteristic of the proposed IFA can be achieved because of the stop‐band property of the metamateria
