โฆ Synopsis
only 7 min as the cells started to sediment. The oxidative burst measured for the reaction including Ficoll 400 (Fig. ) similarly started 5 min after the addition of YE but peaked to a maximum of 30 mV (ฯฎ5 mV) after 14 min. Integration of the responses indicated a 5.9ฯซ enhancement in total detected chemiluminescence. The cells in this reaction stayed in suspension for the duration of the experiment, resulting in a much more accurate measurement of the oxidative burst reaction. The procedure described above allows for the accurate detection of maximum peak heights and represents a significant improvement for the chemiluminescence determination of reactive oxygen species during the oxidative burst in elicitor challenged cells.
