We discuss the problem of absolute stability and the Aizerman conjecture. Necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for the Lurie-Postnikov system to be absolutely stable by using a G-type Lyapunov function. The conditions that we give will be easily verified in practical applications.
We deal with a predator-prey interaction model with Ivlev-type functional response which is subject to the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. On the basis of the fixed point index theory, we give a sufficient and necessary condition for the existence of positive solutions of the model.
