β¦ Synopsis
Mr. Darcy was back in London when he received Charles Bingleyβs letter telling about a murder that had taken place at Longbourn. Bingley asked him to return immediately to help with this tragedy. The letter informed him that the Bennets were grieving and would never be the same.
Frightened that Miss Elizabeth Bennet may have been the victim, Darcy left early the next morning and raced to return to Netherfield to see Bingley, but first he went to Longbourn. There, without having to ask, he knew that Miss Elizabeth Bennet, the spirited young woman that had stolen his sleep since he first saw her, was indeed the victim. This beautiful woman he had been searching for since he met Miss Elizabeth Watkins when he was but nine years, now he knew he had lost her too. But Elizabeth was not the victim, as Darcy found out later that day.
Darcy makes the decision to hire investigators and security men to assist in the investigation but continues to search for the killer after another man has been arrested. Darcyβs actions and his determination work well to change local perceptions of his character, but would it be enough to catch the killer and win Elizabeth's love?
