✦ Synopsis

A series of Zr based catalysts were synthesized using tetraneopentylzirconium as precursor complex and a silica partially dehydroxylated. Modifications of the Zr coordination sphere of the anchored complex, (=SiO)ZrNp, (Np = neopentyl), by hydrolysis or hydrogenolysis lead to catalysts showing unexpected activity for the epoxidation of cyclohexene and hydroxylation of phenol with H,O,.
