β¦ Synopsis
RotAtional. vibrational and OllnsIationaI Boltzmann distributions of 12 desorbing from LiF(OOI) were measured using Isser-induced fluorescence. The 12 rotatioml temperature is lovrer than the surface temperature (Ts$ at Ts > 300 K while the >ibrationf and translational temperatures sre =Ts_ An upper limit on the 12-LiF(001) potential well depth was found to be 0.45 i 0.03 eV_
