ltieselguhr. The 12~ values of 2,G-dichloro-r,4-benzoquinone, 2,3,5-trichloro-r,4-benzoquinone and chloranil obtained on silica gel layers are different and allow satisfactory identification and separation of these compounds.

Better separation of 2,6-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone and 2,5-dichloro-I++-benzoquinone was obtained on lcieselguhr impregnated with solutions of P-phenosyethanol in benzene, using its saturated solution in gz-hexane as the mobile phase. The optimal separation of chlorinated fi-benzoquinones on ltieselguhr was obtained, when the concentration of /3-phenosyethanol in impregnation solution was 3.2 to 6.0 %.
