The effect of non-condensable gases on the performance of a cylindrical tube sheet condenser was Investigated with the aim to provide an analytical tool for cases that do not permit a complex numerical calculation. The data required to develope this method, i.e. the local distribution of heat trans

โฆ Synopsis
An analytrcal model was developed to determme the amount of non-condensable gases -essentrally oxygen 02, nitrogen N2 and carbon dioxid CO2 -released during adiabatrc evaporatron m the chambers of MSF-desalination drstrllers. For a once-through type plant without deaerator and for a recycle type plant wrth vacuum deaerator the degasrfication schemes are illustrated and the resulting gas-concentratrons in the vapor are compared for different venting rates and cascade configurations.

We propose a model-based approach for modelling population heterogeneity in terms of sensitivity and specificity of multi-stage screening procedures that consists of multiple tests ordered according to criteria such as cost and invasiveness. It is assumed that a patient proceeds to the next test onl
## Abstract This study aims at analyzing the red blood cell (RBC) deformation and velocity while streaming through venules and through capillaries whose diameters are smaller than the RBC size. The characteristics of the RBC shape change and velocity can potentially help in diagnosing diseases. In
A rigorous unsteady state and spatially multidimensional model is presented and solved to describe the dynamic behavior of the primary and secondary drying stages of the lyophilization of a pharmaceutical product in vials for different operational policies. The results in this work strongly motivate
