โœฆ Synopsis

A model for mass transfer in packed towers is proposed which considers local transfer conditions by taking into account the liquid residence time distribution function. This model valid when the mass transfer resistance is in the liquid phase, describes well physical and chemical absorption data, using parameters independent from the liquid Row rate.

The calculated rates of chemical absorption were found dependent also on the absorbing capacity of the liquid phase, as experimentally determined by other Authors[3].
