✦ Synopsis

We consider a loaded arches assembly problem with a common thickness.To approximate the solution of this problem, we consider the geometry of the global structure as the limit of a sequence of regular functions, thereafter we approach each component of the sequence by its interpolant function. An augmented discrete mixed ®nite element method, which takes into account an approximation of the geometry, is then formulated in order to give a suitable approximation of the solution.
