Abstract
In this paper, novel microstrip open‐loop resonator (OLR) bandpass filters are presented. By introducing additional spiral inductors as well as gap‐coupled capacitors, the bandpass filters (BPFs) exhibit another attenuation pole at the upper stopband. Also, a novel miniaturized high‐Q duplexer for Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) bands using these BPFs is discussed. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
