✦ Synopsis

A new balanced mixer for double-sideband suppressedcarrier applications based on an electro-optic modulator is presented. Thanks to the use of an automatic bias control circuit for minimum transmission point, a carrier suppression of 45 dB and a reduced output noise are achie¨ed. The electrode configuration of the modulator allows an isolation between ports abo¨e 50 dB.
