โฆ Synopsis
Hydrogen evaporating in a block heat-exchanger of the chamber thermostating system is used to provide the flow opposite the diffusing impurity (upwards to the dewar lid) in the 100 cm HBC (Fig. ). After passing through a PTFE filter 14 with 1 tz pores, the hydrogen enters the inner dewar space through a perforated tube 13, 6 mm in diameter and 1 mm wall thickness, placed on the periphery of flange 4 of the chamber outside its radiator 12. The dirty gas is discharged through the dewar lid by pressure regulator 6. The amount of hydrogen blown through and the corresponding flow rate is checked by rotameter 7. The volume flow rate is determined by needle valve 15 which has a 3 mm diameter opening.
