An electrophoretic method to demonstrate human red cell membrane acetylcholinesterase is described. The method, performed with crude Triton lysates of red cells on a flat-bed polyacrylamide gel, is sufficiently simple to be suitable for a population survey.

A model system of polyacrylamide films containing the Triton extract of rat brain homogenate was applied to investigate quantitatively some aspects of three methods for the cytochemical demonstration of acetylcholinesterase activity (Lewis 1961; Karnovsky and Roots 1964; Tsuji 1974). A radioimmunoassay for a new anticancer drug, bruceantin, has been developed using [3H]acetylbruceantin and antibody induced by immunizing rabbits with succinylbruceantinbovine serum albumin conjugates. [3H]Acetylbruceantin was synthesized by reacting bruceantin with [3H]acetyl anhydride. The assay
## Abstract The presence of pharmaceuticals in drinking water is an emerging environmental concern. In most environmental testing laboratories, LCβMS/MS assays based on selected reaction monitoring are used as part of a battery of tests used to assure water quality. Although LCβMS/MS continues to b
