✦ Synopsis
A method for analysing "P in small aqueous samples by measuring the Cerenkov radiation is described. Centering problems with small sample volumes are eliminated by placing the sample in a polystyrene tube in the scintillation vial. The detection efficiency is high, 54.5 + 0.6% (2 SD) at a sample volume of 25 pl. The reproducibility is good and independent of the sample volume. The detection efficiency of "P in polyacrylamide gel is shown to be as good as in water.
