✦ Synopsis

A simple method for measuring the maximal among the transitions ~WI coefficients for a cascade laser based on observations of the gain in the self-luminexence of an active medium. is propoced and substantiated. Ths method has been cxpcrimentally checked on a pulsed chemical CSz/O2 laser with photouutiation. For this laxr. time dependences of the maximum gain coefficient have been obtained.
