β¦ Synopsis
A new method for the determination of the radiative znd non-radiative rate constants for the T1 -SO transition hss been developed. This depends upon the extrapolation of intersystem crossing yield data from highher tempcratures to 77Β°K or other appropriate tempcraturc. The technique has bzen used to show thnt values of KP arc 0.049 and 0.043 set-' for toluene and tetralin in methylcyclohexane glasses nt 77SK respectively, and the values for KG.~ are 0.090 and 0.140 xc-' _

## Abstract It is conventional to describe the relationship between the specific rate of microbial growth and the concentration of the inhibitory substrate in terms of the AndrewsβEdwards equation. A novel method for establishing the constants of this equation is presented. The equation is transfor
