The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) has followed closely the ongoing debate over FDA reform. At the March 1995 meeting of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, the GAC recommended, and the ASCPT Executive Committee approved, the following Resolutions. ASCPT has sent these Resolutions to key members of the House of Representatives and the Senate who are holding hearings on issues of FDA reform. The members of ASCPT are encouraged to become familiar with the issues and to offer their expertise to their representatives or staff in Washington. The GAC recognizes that many of these issues are complex and often controversial and welcomes your advise and counsel.
